| Karen Robbins President Emeritus
Ms. Robbins brings her experience as an organizational development and management consultant working in the non-profit sector since 1969. Throughout her 40+ year career she has worked in direct service social work, program management, executive director, consultancy and volunteer service roles with many human service agencies in the Bay Area. Her longest tenure was 20 years with the Jewish Community Centers, where she served for 7 years as the Executive Director of the JCC of San Francisco, an agency with over 200 employees and a budget of $7Million. Specializing in Executive and Organizational Transitions she was an affiliate consultant with Compass Point Non-profit Services in San Francisco for 6 years. Currently she is focused on volunteer community service work in Marin County. As chair for 3 years of the Marin County Juvenile Justice and Delinquency prevention Commission, she spearheaded community organizing to launch the Marin County Youth Peer Court. Currently, she is a mediator with juvenile offenders in the Victim Offender Reconciliation Program (VORP) for the Marin County Probation Department, and works in a Truancy Mitigation program with Middle Schools in Novato. Over the years she has served on many Boards and committees, including a term as Board Chair of the Women’s Foundation of San Francisco. Karen has a M.A. in Organizational Development and a B.S in Social Work from Simmons College. She is a resident of Mill Valley CA.
